Hello from Old Orchard Beach, Maine!

Hello from Old Orchard Beach, Maine! We moved into our new apartment through May. This definitely reminds me of my college days of living and partying in Old Orchard Beach. Especially, renting from the same landlord!

Check out our new place! What do you think?

It’s definitely more spacious than our last place. We really like it here. I honestly don’t have any complaints about the place. It was more convenient in terms of going to the gym, and work from the Portland apartment, but it’s only about 20-25 minutes. It’s definitely a more peaceful place.

We pay 2000 a month for rent with parking included. We pay for our own utilities. This apartment is definitely more affordable compared to our last one. He rents this apartment out weekly in the summer, and for a winter rental. If you are looking for a Portland apartment, reach out to me and I connect you with Mr.OOB.

We are planning to start getting preapproved, and look for a house. We held off because we were busy adjusting to being in a permanent place for once!  Still feels crazy that our travel nursing days are over. We are both happy with our decision, but we miss it.

I’m really liking my “new” job. It feels good to get back into a normal routine. It’s been good to see some of the same people.

I think what’s made it easier to  going back to permanent staff, is all the planned vacations we have coming up. This week we are going to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. We are planning on going to the Grand Canyon National Park, and also the Petrified Forest National Park. We both haven’t made it to Arizona, so we are excited! We also made plans to go to Florida in November. Nick’s grandparents live in Cocoa Beach, so we plan to visit them, and go to Miami for a Dolphins game, and visit some Florida national parks! Hurricane Milton is about to hit Florida. These natural disasters are absolutely devastating. Prayers for everyone in Florida for their safety and their homes. Sometimes, it’s so hard putting things in prospective. These things always are a good reminder to keep your love ones close.

I can’t wait to tell you all about Arizona. We also visited Salem Massachusetts this past weekend. Such a fun October activity. Stay up to date with all things travel, spooky date nights, nursing, and of course Flicks_withNick’s movie reviews. Give us a follow on Instagram or subscribe to this blog!

Nick and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary last week. We went on a nice walk at Portland head light, got take out, and watched a movie. It was such a nice relaxing night. We are planning on celebrating a little more in Scottsdale. (We got our engagement photos here actually!) I took this photo with my new camera that I found on Facebook marketplace!
