Our Perfect Day in CocoCay

Hello friends, readers, and fellow cruisers!

Let me catch you up a little. If you missed my last blog, we recently took a cruise with Royal Caribbean — and we had an amazing experience! If you’re interested in reading about that adventure, you can find it here:

Royal Caribbean has arguably built the best private island experience out there. Perfect Day at CocoCay is exclusive to Royal Caribbean passengers and truly lives up to the hype. There’s so much to do, tons of ways to relax, and plenty of exciting add-ons if you’re looking to upgrade your day. The best part? Admission is included with your cruise fare, and many of the island’s attractions are free — though some premium features do come at an extra cost.

The island is beautifully designed with something for every type of traveler, whether you’re in search of adventure, rest, or family fun.

🌴 What Is a Perfect Day at CocoCay?

🎒 What to Bring to CocoCay

Make sure you’re prepared for the best beach day ever! Here’s what we recommend:

✅ Essentials:

  • SeaPass Card or WOW Band
  • Towel (from the ship)
  • Swimsuit
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses and/or Hat ( Check out my cute red sox hat from amazon!)
  • Flip-flops or water shoes (can’t go anywhere without my bierkenstocks)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Small cash/card for Straw Market
  • Beach bag or backpack
This sunscreen that Abby brought was a highlight! It was glittery and fun!

🎒 Optional But Helpful:

Highly Recommend that snorkle gear!
  • Waterproof phone case or dry bag
  • Snorkel gear (wish we’d brought ours — the water is full of marine life!)
  • Portable charger
  • Change of clothes

👗 What I Wore to CocoCay

Of course, I have to share my CocoCay outfit picks!

Bathing suit is from Shein, hat from amazon, and sunglasses from target.

Nick’s fun bathing suit was from amazon and his shirt was a great find by my mom. She found this shirt at Macy’s. It’s lightweight and has a great pattern. The hat was bought at a game in Seattle!

🌞 Final Thoughts on CocoCay

From adrenaline-pumping thrills to moments of total serenity, Perfect Day at CocoCay delivered on every front. Whether you’re zip-lining across the island, floating in Oasis Lagoon, or sipping a Coco Loco with your toes in the sand, this place has something magical about it.

It’s more than a cruise stop — it’s a destination in its own right. We loved every minute of it, and we can’t wait to go back.

Next up: Our day in Nassau!

Also, Abby and I just booked a day trip to NYC from Portland, ME. I can’t wait to tell you all about our plans and our experience!
