Welcome to a Spooky Date Night series. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I can’t believe October is over! It’s absolutely crazy. I am going to be so sad because I am loving these spooky date nights. This is definitely a fun one, so get ready. (A lot of you guys will remember this from last year… somehow I convinced him again) Let’s get spooky!
Craft supplies:
- Tall big pumpkin
- Pumpkin carving kit knife and tool to scoop out inside of pumpkin
- Camera or iPhone
- Person to take photos for you or tripod (we did a tripod and it worked great!
Directions:
- Go pumpkin shopping! We checked out a local farm in Kennebunk Maine! Check out Wallingford farm! Make sure to choose a pumpkin that is large enough to fit over your head, but long enough to cover your chin! It makes it hard. We made this mistake with Nick, and almost mine. If you did, totally ok! A scarf can help fix it.
- Put on some good spooky music!
- Carve a massive head sized hole at the bottom of the pumpkin.
- Remove all the pumpkin guts, and seeds from the inside. You can also save the seeds to cook for later!
- Carve out a jack-o-lantern style face. I chose to do heart eyes, Nick decided to do a simple face!
- I would suggest wearing a hat under it, unless you want your hair to get a free pumpkin mask! We ended up getting shower caps for a dollar at Walmart!
- Find a good back background, and take some fun photos wearing your pumpkinheads! Get creative!

We watched the new Terrifier last week. Stay tuned for Flicks_withNick’s review. Stay up to date with all things travel, nursing, and of course Flicks_withNick’s movie reviews. Give us a follow on Instagram or subscribe to this blog!
