Month of Love Dating Series: Love language of quality time

Happy Valentine’s Day love bugs! Learning the love languages can be a meaningful way to connect with your partner, or even a close friend. During the month of love date series, I wanted to go into detail about the love languages, and gift ideas for date nights. I am curious what others got? We finished words of affirmation and physical touch, and received gifts. We are now focusing on our last love language, quality time. I saved this love language for last because it’s both Nick and I l’s love language. Who are my quality time friends?

Quality time has a lot to do with spending time with your partner that’s uninterrupted. Typically people that have this love language, feel most loved while spending meaningful, and focused time with their loved one.

Now that I understand a little more about this love language, I can give you some ideas for the month of love dating series. Let’s get to the fun part. Need ways to show your love through quality time; these are some fun ideas!

Make dinner together

I think people always think things have to be extravagant and expensive… truth is, that’s not true at all! Make dinner with your partner at home, and focus on being present. That means getting disconnected from technology!

Workout with each other

This is something that seems to be controversial. A Lot of people say that they prefer to workout separately, and it gives them “alone time”. Honestly, this is an easy date idea, and also boosts up that serotonin! Nick and I continue to workout in the mornings at five am before work at OrangeTheory. This helps me stay motivated  (I like to say I’m not competitive, but I 100% am), and also allows us to spend time together.

Take a class

Take a class with your loved one. Get in the zone at the paint and sip, or cooking/baking class. A class is a good way to incorporate multiple love languages.

If you got quality time, what kind of date are you going to enjoy with your loved one? Are you going to try one of these ideas, or did you come up with one on your own? Nick and I plan on celebrating our quality time love language with a baking class next week. We are learning to make sourdough bread! This was part of his valentines gift.

This wraps up the love languages, check back for other Valentine’s Day ideas. Stay up to date on our month of love dating series, Alaska journey,  travel tips and suggestions, and of course Flicks_withnick movie reviews online. Give us a follow on Instagram or subscribe.
