Spooky Date Night: Date three

Welcome to Spooky Date Night three. I can’t believe October is already almost over! It’s absolutely crazy. I am going to be so sad because I am loving these spooky date nights. This is definitely a fun one, so get ready. (Not sure if Nick agreed!) Let’s get spooky!

Craft supplies:

  • Tall big pumpkin
  • Pumpkin carving kit knife and tool to scoop out inside of pumpkin
  • Camera or iPhone
  • Person to take photos for you or tripod (we did a tripod and it worked great! I linked ours!)

Directions

Directions:

  1. Go pumpkin shopping! Check out my quick blog about Nelson’s farm! We ended up getting our pumpkins there! Make sure to choose a pumpkin that is large enough to fit over your head, but long enough to cover your chin! It makes it hard. We made this mistake with Nick, and almost mine. If you did, totally ok! A scarf can help fix it.
  2. Put on some good spooky music!
  3. Carve a massive head sized hole at the bottom of the pumpkin.
  4. Remove all the pumpkin guts,  and seeds from the inside. You can also save the seeds to cook for later!
  5. Carve out a jack-o-lantern style face. I chose to do heart eyes, Nick decided to do a simple face!
  6. I would suggest wearing a hat under it, unless you want your hair to get a free pumpkin mask! You also can get a black mask to cover your face. It’s Better to cover your face, so it doesn’t show through the eyes!
  7. Find a good back background, and take some fun photos wearing your pumpkinheads! Get creative!

How are everyone’s scary movies coming along? Did you check out Flick with Nick’s new blog? Up next, spooky pizza bombs!
